Spreading the Hope of Jesus in Cambodia During Covid-19
At Rock Foundation Cambodia, we are continuing to serve the poorest of the poor in Cambodia throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.More than ever, families are in need of clean water and food. So many who were already living in poverty before this crisis are now without work or access to the most basic living needs.
So far, we have distributed a total of 2,640 lbs. of rice which is much more than we normally would be delivering at a much faster pace and frequency.
We are also working to distribute instant noodles and water filters to those living in impoverished villages who don’t yet have access to a fresh water well.
At this time, Cambodia is in the middle of a dry season. Last week we had the first rain shower since early January which makes life tremendously difficult for the thousands of people here who depend on rainwater for drinking, bathing, and cooking. And as you know, sanitation is so very important with the current world-wide health crisis.
We are happy to report that we are still drilling water wells with no delays in our progress. Currently, our ministry has built more than 250 fresh water wells for the people of Cambodia. Even if there is a delay in water well drilling, we anticipate that it will only be a brief one.
