The infant mortality rate in Cambodia is higher compared to any other country in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) which encompasses 10 countries in Southeast Asia. Srey, a young mother from a poor village in Cambodia, experienced a miracle when she and her baby recently survived an emergency c-section. She gives credit to Jesus for performing this miracle through Rock Foundation Cambodia.
Five months ago, Srey was an expectant mother who had been abandoned by her husband. Finding strength through her relationship with Christ, Srey was determined to carry the baby to term; however, she quickly took a turn for the worse. Staff at Rock Foundation Cambodia learned of her story and found an anonymous donor to pay for medical bills and initial child-care expenses. Srey was rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital where the Lord guided the skilled hands of doctors to deliver her baby and save her life.
The baby is now five months old and lives with Srey in her mother’s home. Srey is grateful to the Lord for bringing Rock Foundation Cambodia into her life and guiding a generous supporter to bless her and her child with a chance at life.
With a new outlook on life, Srey continues to attend church in her village and thank God for the gifts she’s received.
