If you’ve ever visited us in Cambodia, you probably know Mouen. He’s the man in the wheelchair who is always excited to meet new members of our Rock Foundation Cambodia (RFC) family. Our relationship with Mouen began years ago when our ministry helped provide the funding he needed to pay for the debt he had accumulated through the life-sustaining medical services he needed. We are sad to report that the combination of poor living conditions along with his ongoing health issues have recently resulted in the amputation of one of his legs.
Mouen is now, once again, facing mounting medical bills and needs our help to alleviate his financial hardship. He lives with his wife, Neang, in an impoverished community outside the city dump. He is passionate about the work of RFC and even used to make rock soap to help raise funds for our ministry.
You can help Mouen continue to fight for a better tomorrow for himself and his family by making a donation to RFC on his behalf. His ongoing health battles mean that pain is something he deals with daily along with the struggle to find work to provide food and other essential resources for his family. He also needs extended medical care to ensure that his medical condition doesn’t grow progressively worse.
Mouen’s story is just one of thousands like it here in Cambodia. Since 2011, we’ve imported nine large containers of essential medical supplies to help other poor, rural Cambodians live safe and healthy lives.
Each shipment contains hundreds of thousands of dollars of equipment that healthcare professionals need to provide medical care to those who, otherwise, would not receive it in the Name of Jesus.
We also frequently partner with local doctors and pharmacies to provide medicine to Cambodian men, women, and children living in poverty.
Your generosity could be the difference between hope and homelessness for Cambodians like Mouen. With the Lord’s help and your support, we will continue to work towards improving the quality of life for all rural Cambodians.
