Over Two Tons of Food Distributed in Recent Community Outreaches

We recently partnered with Mercy Village Church, a Khmer ministry, to give away 4,400 pounds of rice to 100 local Cambodian families.

We are blessed to serve these families, most of whom live in extreme poverty and, due to Covid-related economic conditions, are struggling to get by without an income source.

Our Covid relief efforts have focused largely on the rural communities’ dire need for food. This year alone, we have given away literal tons of rice, noodles, soy sauce, fish sauce, and canned fish.

Although vaccinations are underway in Cambodia and some of the extreme governmental restrictions have eased, the country’s infection rates have continued to yo-yo. Despite the uncertainty, we were recently able to resume construction of clean water wells, a health necessity made even more crucial by the pandemic.

In addition to this exciting food giveaway in Kandal, we were also able to do a mass food distribution in a neighboring province, Kampong Speu.

Please join us in praying that our life-saving and life-changing work continues to move forward, regardless of the impact of Covid on Cambodia. We also ask that you prayerfully consider supporting our Covid-19 Response efforts as we care for those struggling with the economic impact of this pandemic.

Thank you to everyone who has provided resources for us to care for the poorest of the poor during these challenging times!
