Rock Foundation Cambodia exists to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the most impoverished people in Cambodia by providing clean water, food, and the good news of Jesus Christ. Our work is focused on being the hands and feet of Jesus to these precious people. Since our ministry began in 2011, we have experienced much fruit come from our efforts and, by the grace of God, this year has been no exception!
Clean Water Wells
Our primary work is dedicated to drilling water wells. This year, we’ve surpassed 930 wells, 100 of which have been drilled just in the first half of the year. We have new equipment that can drill multiple wells in any area, including through rock. This new equipment has already allowed us to provide over 75,000 more people with access to clean water.
Evangelism Outreaches
Our evangelism team has done an incredible job sharing the gospel with students while we drill wells at the schools. We have even had the opportunity to evangelize in Buddhist temples.
Over 3,000 students have now heard the gospel for the first time since the start of the year.
In each location that we drill, usually at schools, we share the good news of the gospel of Jesus and invite them to accept Jesus as their savior. So far, over 2,600 students have expressed that they want to accept Christ and pursue a relationship with Him.
Food DistributionS
With the support of local churches, we have participated in eight rice distributions this year. We have provided well over 78,000 pounds of rice, 7,500 packs of noodles and 2,500 cans of fish and have five more distributions planned for the year.
Food & Fellowship OutreachES
In addition to rice and food distributions, we began a Food and Fellowship Outreach in April. So far, we have hosted 14 outreaches at five villages that lie on the outskirts of the town. More than 1,580 hot meals have been provided. The precious people we serve through these outreaches live in extreme poverty around the city garbage dumps and rely on collecting recyclables to survive.
About 175 families in each village attend the outreaches where they receive hot meals. We feed them, pray with them, spend time with them and share just how much value they have.
Our message for them is that, “Jesus loves you and so do we.”
We eagerly anticipate what the Lord will do through our ministry efforts as we move into the second half of this year. Thank you to all of our gracious supporters who partner with us by giving and praying. Together we are reaching “the least of these” in the name of Jesus.
