2024: A Year of Clean Water, Food & Gospel Hope in Cambodia

As we near the end of 2024, we are filled with awe and gratitude for all that the Lord has allowed us to do through our work in Cambodia. This year, we drilled more than 200 water wells for those without a safe water source in Cambodia. By the grace of God, we have been able to touch countless lives by providing clean water, sharing the gospel and feeding those who need it the most. It has been a year of abundance and favor as we have worked together to meet the needs of those living in desperate circumstances.

PROVIDING Clean Water FOR THOUSANDS

This year we were blessed to use state-of-the-art equipment capable of drilling through even the toughest terrain, including rock! This has greatly helped us drill even more wells as we set out to transform lives by bringing clean water to some of Cambodia’s most vulnerable communities. Since we began our work here in 2011, we will have drilled more than 1,000 wells, providing clean, life-saving water to tens of thousands of people. Before this, most of these families drank from standing water– the same sources they used for bathing, cooking, and sanitation.

To these precious people, clean water isn’t just a resource; it’s hope, health and an opportunity for a brighter future.

MORE THAN 4,600 ACCEPT CHRIST

At the beginning of this year, we expanded our Kingdom reach by adding Jina Kim as our Evangelism and Outreach Coordinator. His leadership has helped us share the gospel with more people than ever before. The spiritual need in Cambodia is immense, as less than 1% of the population are Protestant Christians.

As we drilled wells near schools, our evangelism team presented the gospel to children—many of whom had never heard the name of Jesus before. We also shared the hope of Christ with Buddhist monks, even in the shadow of their shrines. The harvest has been great: More than 4,600 people, mostly students, accepted Christ this year! We are now focusing on discipling and raising up these new believers. Through food and fellowship outreaches, interest in discipleship is also growing.

Truly, God is moving in Cambodia!

FEEDING THOSE LIVING IN EXTREME POVERTY

In addition to our regular rice distributions, in April we launched a Food and Fellowship Outreach program to serve villages on the outskirts of town. These communities, many located near the city garbage dump, face extreme poverty, with no running water or electricity and limited access to nutritious food. Since April, we have provided over 2,000 hot meals to families who typically survive by scavenging the dump for recyclables.

Each outreach event serves about 175 families, offering not just food but also love, prayer and a reminder of their inherent value in Christ. We’ve seen lives touched as we feed the hungry and share God’s boundless love with the precious families we’re blessed to serve.

Moving Forward with Great Expectation

As we look ahead to 2025, our vision for the people of Cambodia continues to grow. We aim to drill even more wells, expand our food outreach and deepen our evangelism efforts through discipleship and community building. Of course, none of this would be possible without your partnership.

Thank you for your prayers, your financial support and your belief in our mission to meet the mental, physical, and spiritual needs of the Cambodian people through poverty assistance and community outreach.. Together, we are being the hands and feet of Jesus in Cambodia, bringing hope, clean water and the gospel to those who need it most.

To God be the glory for all He has done in 2024 and for the greater things He will do in the year to come!
