Recently, we hosted our 57th Food and Fellowship Outreach! This milestone marks over 7,000 meals served to the most vulnerable people in our community in just over a year.
Behind this incredible number lies a deeper story of the daily challenges faced by those living in rural Cambodia, where access to clean water and nutritious food is not a guarantee, but a struggle.
Clean Water = Hope & Opportunity
In areas like the ones we serve, food insecurity and water scarcity go hand in hand. Most families rely on small-scale farming just to survive, but without reliable, clean water for irrigation, crops wither and livestock suffer. Dirty rivers and stagnant ponds not only hinder agriculture, but they also carry disease. When illness strikes, especially waterborne illnesses like cholera or diarrhea, the ability to work, farm, or earn an income disappears, further deepening the cycle of poverty and hunger.
We see it firsthand. Children who should be in school spend hours gathering water or staying home ill. Mothers skip meals so their kids can eat. Families depend on outside aid, like ours, to make it through seasons of drought, flood, or rising food prices.
Not Just About Hot Meals
That’s why our weekly outreach isn’t just about handing out meals. It’s about being present with the people who are often overlooked by society. It’s about looking them in the eye and showing them they are seen, valued and loved by Jesus. It’s about building long-term relationships and meeting both physical and spiritual needs in the name of Jesus.
We also continue to financially support Mouen with his monthly medical needs, helping lift just one more burden off a family already under great pressure.
Please continue to pray for the seeds planted during these outreaches. Pray for open hearts, for healing and for hope. And please join us in raising awareness for the daily challenges rural Cambodians face, where something as simple as clean water can change everything.
Thank you for standing with Rock Foundation Cambodia as we love, serve and bring the hope of Jesus to the least of these.
